SSG INNOVATIONS LLC OFFERS HANDHELD AEI TAG READERS WITH EXPRESS YARDTM RAILCAR REPAIR BILLING SOLUTION

Flint, MI., April 4, 2005 – SSG Innovations LLC, a company specializing in web enabled software solutions for the railroad industry, has released the first handheld AEI tag reader integrated with a mobile railcar repair billing solution.

Express Yard AEI tag readers attach directly to the mobile handheld devices already used by the Express Yard system. The tag readers allow users to quickly read error-free car information from the AEI tags located on the car directly into Express Yard’s handheld where users can add repair data and synchronize wirelessly.

“Now we can offer our customers more ways to eliminate the possibility of costly human errors associated with repair billing. Before Express Yard’s technology, it was possible to lose large amounts of money from entering wrong car information and trying to bill for it,” said Justin Gillam, partner of SSG Innovations LLC. “Express Yard portable AEI tag readers are the first with the ability to directly interact with a mobile car repair billing application to eliminate these mistakes.”

Express Yard uses mobile handheld devices utilizing wireless communication. By taking the handhelds into the field, employees are able to reduce errors and redundant data entry by entering and validating information as operations are completed.

“By enabling access to valuable data in the field, we have given employees the ability to make more informed decisions while nearly eliminating the errors and redundant data entry generally involved with car repair billing,” said Gillam. “This allows our customers to eliminate incredible amounts of time from their billing process.”
